I had the bestest birthday
... I really did.
With Janine and Irene here as the most uncomplicated house guests evah, and with Gabriele's musician friends staying over at her place and playing chamber music - this hadn't been planned for my sake, but the coincidence was more than welcome.
So we all met at Gabriele's place, i.e. all the usual suspects + additions from Vienna, and I was serenaded (variations on Happy Birthday in various styles), and there were lots of fantastic food, and we had fun. And I got presents, yesss, preciousss. *grins happily* What a birthday.
We arrived back home at ~ 2.30, and today we'll meet again for brunch at the Swissotel.

If this 44th year of my life continues the way it started, it's going to be an exceptionally good year.
