PMS is shit

That's almost all I have to say, which isn't much, but expressive and will likely be understood by everybody.
It's slightly less awful today -- good because 1st day of work after holiday really doesn't need the added PMS bonus -- but yesterday... Well the less said the better. More physical than mental this time but still shit with a capital sh.

The last days have been spent in a leisurely manner including quite a lot of exercise, boyz-cuddling and cooking. And reading, too. The weather continues to be sunny, and now it's also getting warmer and the snow is starting to melt. And I got into the habit of sleeping late (late for me, i.e. around 7.30), so imagine my unbridled joy at having to get up at my usual 5.30 today. Urgh.

I've already decided to be nice to myself today, which means taking things slowly, especially where my probably overflowing mailbox is concerned. And all the other work. Because, you know, if it hasn't been done till today and the world hasn't collapsed, it probably won't collapse if I leave some things for tomorrow or the day after.

Still, dawn starts before 6 a.m. already, so that's definitely a plus. And I have new black suede boots to wear today, plus the awesome bag Janine gave me.

Have a good start into the new week, everybody!

Being spammy -- mixed bag

Good: Weather is splendid and less cold than last week
Bad: I have to be at work
Good: Sunshine justifies wearing of spiffy new Chanel shades bought at 50%
Overall mark: OK

Good: Alexandra is coming back today
Good: Alexandra is going to fetch Lola from the vet, where she had to spend the weekend due to trouble with suture
Bad: Am fretting myself sick over Black Beast. Have in fact been fretting since Thursday.
Good: Girls' night tonight at Alexandra's place with reconvalescent Lola
Bad: Am feeling PMS-y and antisocial, but that might improve, especially in company
Overall mark: OK but worried

Good: Contact lenses (to be worn for tennis) have finally arrived
Bad: How-to-wear-lenses training only possible on Friday
Overall mark: good

Yes, it's that kind of day.
Pretty new bootses and bag are helping.
The news that our Federal Chancellor will probably be visiting his Macedonian colleague in April kind of neutralized that positive effect, though.
Soon there will be lunch, which is good. After lunch, however, I'll have to go through visa applications, because Charlie our visa officer has been sent to Cairo (probably till the 15th) to help out at our Embassy there.
Charlie's absence also means that either Irene or I will have the emergency phone, i.e. won't be able to leave the country. So x-nay on going to Greece next weekend. Maybe the one after that, if Charlie's really back by then. If he isn't, good-bye Greece, because boss will be on holiday starting on the 24th, which means I can't leave the country.

Will stop whining now and start to go through the work backlog. (Not likely to improve my mood...)
