And now to something completely different
OK, the first draft is done.
Now I really have to let it lie for a while. Dunno how you guys work, but I start editing while still writing -- IMO catching plot holes is much easier that way, and I think it's easier (for me) to make it more coherent.
Anyway, the first chappie is with
camillo1978 now, and the rest will follow step by step.
Then I'll be going to Vienna anyway (July 4-11), and after that I may allow myself the second round of editing.
I guess I already said so, but repeating doesn't hurt:
1) if the darling modses need a pinch hitter, I can step in
2) if any fellow author needs a beta job (Brit-picking I can do to a certain extent but would rather leave it to the Brits for obvious reasons), feel free to say so
In very, very different news:
I've been eating next to no carbs for about four weeks. I've never felt in better shape, I'm losing weight -- its great.
I daresay that it's not right for everybody, but for me it is. Fits like a glove, and I don't feel like I'm dieting, I just changed my lifestyle. (Thanks btw to
harrietvane for the link!!)
What's most amazing is the fact that I don't miss bread, pasta or potatoes. Of course, if I felt like eating some, I would -- it's food, after all, and not a religion -- but so far all I do is have a muesli snack from time to time before I exercise.
I'm also surprised that 1) I'm not hungry very often and 2) the hunger feels different -- there's no more of that knee-wobbling, hands-trembling hunger I got before. Which is pretty much obvious -- if you don't eat carbs, your blood sugar levels will behave differently -- but nonetheless extremely satisfactory.
