Congratulations, USA! I was sure you guys had it in you, even though I admit to having been slightly worried.
In other news, lurkerhood was due to persisting shoulder pain, which in turn necessitated severe curtailing of computer time. But it's gone now, and without pills. I'm incredibly relieved.
Nothing much has been going on here -- life continues as per usual, and the only trouble I'm currently having is with Gerald behaving like a complete arsehole to the visa girls and me trying to deescalate and get a grip of the situation. (Bloody stupid men!)
I've discovered and fallen in love with "Downton Abbey" -- Season #3 is on its way towards my greedy, sweaty little hands and will arrive here next Friday.
Also Season 7 of How I Met Your Mother has been consumed in unseemly haste -- much better than Season 6.
Still reading "The Line of Beauty", but definitely going through a dvd phase right now.
Even though I could hardly believe it, my brother actually came to visit on the weekend October 26-28. We had a lovely time, and since it was raining heavily on the 27th, i.e. the day we'd meant to dedicate to sightseeing, he announced his firm intention to come back in May and actually get to see the place, which he'd only seen from above on the 26th, when we climbed up to the cross on Vodno.
