Not bad, not bad at all.
Betaed a whole chapter in the morning, and then finished Orpheus 8. Yayyyy! I think I'm getting the hang of bridging larger amounts of time, by switching from plot to subplot, and putting in just the right amount of letters. From October to June in 8 chapters (about 4000 to 4500 words each) isn't bad. I think that's enough disgusting self-praise.

Last night was spent very pleasurably in the company of my brother and younger nephew. We had a lot of catching-up to do, as Christian (my brother) not only leads the per-se-unsteady life of a pilot, but also has to divide his life between Vienna and Innsbruck, where he lives with his girlfriend. Anyway, it was a lovely evening, and I enjoyed it. Daniel, the younger nephew (now 19), is a typical victim of our school system. He didn't fit in, right from the beginning, and thus failed, quite predictably so. They managed to squeeze every single drop of enthusiasm for learning etc. out of him. Now he seems to slowly accept the idea that, in order to get a job he likes, he'll have to adapt to the system, at least for some time. I was particularly pleased when he told me he'd discovered reading. More pleased when I found out he's reading three books at the same time.

Tonight I'm going to stay at home (finally), do a bit of writing and drawing, and spend quality time with ze boyz, provided they want to. A yucky aside: we've discovered a new favourite food. Chickens' hearts. I decided to give it a try, because they've been having an awful lot of fish these days, and they simply loved it. I don't, but it's still better than tinned cat food, the smell of which makes me totally sick.

Oh, and I'm finally going to have my hair cut and dyed this afternoon. Fortunately, my natural colour isn't too far from the artificial one, so the re-growth is barely noticeable. Otherwise, the usual eight-weeks' distance between the appointments would have rather catastrophic results.
