Just joking, of course.
First, thanks for the lots of splendid advice people sent about getting dark fibres off white shirts. We do, of course, have those adhesive-tape rollers here but, while they work perfectly for e.g. cat hair, they're sadly inefficient when it comes to the jumper/shirt problem.
Then, of course, there was the really useful advice *grins*. Still wondering whether
vonlooney wants me to cover my white shirts in sellotape while wearing them, or to get the lint off using sellotape. Both possibilities are attractive, to say the least. Just imagining the cracking, scrunching sounds a sellotaped shirt would make with every smallest movement makes my heart beat faster.
madamsprout's idea of wearing cat-coloured clothes is very ingenious, too. I was already considering swathing myself in light-beige for the rest of my life, when it occurred to me that their paws, ears, and tails are chocolate brown. Now there's a dilemma.
I'm partly awed, partly scared by the efficiency of those who participate in NaNoWriMo. Those I know, of course. Everybody seems to have a plot outline ready, and to know exactly what they're going to write. Argh! I'm still in the hazy "We'll see what the muse has in store for us" state. Probably I'm going to regret it. Or maybe not?
Had a lovely chat last night with some friends. Kind of a virtual (but by no means virtuous) girls' night out. Enjoyed it immensely, more so as there seems to be a possibility that we'll meet (at least those of us living in Germany and Austria) in RL as well. I have a feeling that the atmosphere is going to be very Macbeth-ish ;)
Orpheus 09 is comeing along nicely. Didn't I say I'd start posting once 10 chappies were written? So, let's see: If I start posting, say, around 15 October, and upload 1 chapter per week, plus continue writing until the beginning of November... that might work. It would get me through NaNoWriMo, and I'd still have lots of chapters up my sleeve, so if I'm totally exhausted I wouldn't need to start writing Orpheus again before, say, the middle of december. Sounds very reassuring :)
Today I'll stay home, because tomorrow there's the first Philharmonic matinee (yayyyyy!) and in the late afternoon I have a date with my younger nephew for billiards and, probably, dinner. Anybody want to join me in starting a petition for 4-day weekends? *sighs*
