The Good Doctor

Almost forgot the real good news: I think I might have found the doctor I've been searching for for years. When I told her about the cats and the allergy and my absolute unwillingness to let go of the former, she merely remarked that, yes, there's logic, but there's also emotion, and she didn't believe that the emotional trauma of giving away a beloved pet was in any way conducive to becoming a healthy person.
Now there are four needles in my right ear (micro-sized ones, of course; although I'd have loved to see the expression on people's faces if I wandered around with big ones) and 1) the urge to smoke is definitely diminishing, 2) I slept 8 hours without interruption by coughing or sneezing fits. If things continue like this, I'm going to erect an altar and worship that doctor. Tonight my Chinese herbs will be ready. To be taken in the morning and evening. Next appointment and more acupuncture in 4 weeks.
If this really works out, I'll be very happy :)
