...though in the broadest sense of the word.

Exchange fic has been uploaded after one final read-through. Still not entirely convinced I like it, although I think parts are very good. But it won't get any better if I let it sit for another week, I'd only have more doubts.

I spent 250 € on CDs yesterday - entirely justified though, because you don't get a decent selection of classical CDs in Ankara. Besides, money spent on good music is never wasted. Among others, I got Haydn's 'Creation' (Gardiner; McNair, Lloyd, Finley etc.) and I love it. I don't always like classical pieces played on period instruments, but it certainly works with this one. I've heard oversweet, harmless interpretations of Haydn music - which, I think, is one of the reasons why Haydn is still undervalued - and so Gardiner's very gritty interpretation and the sharper sound of the period instruments are something of a revelation. The costliest of my treasures was 'Idomeneo' under Sir Charles Mackerras, but I simply couldn't resist the temptation of Ian Bostridge as Idomeneo. And I bought Beethoven's Triple Concerto for Gabriele, to be packed in bubble wrap and sent to Ankara with next week's courier.

There's another Lumione plot bunny slowly taking shape - rough outline already written down by hand, prologue finished, first chapter just started. Funny how I've completely gone off posting WIPs, it just doesn't feel right anymore.

Re-read of HBP has progressed to Harry's first lesson with Dumbledore. I still don't like Lucius's father being called Abraxas, not only does it sound awful but I also think they'd rather have a tradition of all-Roman names.
