Some ramblings and picspam

This weekend is Pentecost, so we don't have to work on Monday. Yay!!!

It's hot and oppressive today here in Ankara, with heavy clouds, but somehow the thunderstorm doesn't seem to come. Grrr. Because  like storms, and I particularly like the fresh, earthy smell afterwards. But the day isn't over yet, so maybe we'll get lucky.

Doris told me about a shop selling illegal DVD copies (yes, I know, you're not supposed to buy them, but it's the first time) and so I treated myself to season 1 and 2 of House, for which I've been yearning for a long time. Three guesses how the weekend will be spent. I'll also have to get a bit of writing done, since the week hasn't been very productive. I'm just to tired after kick boxing, and on Wednesday I was invited to dinner at the Swiss consul's place (he and his wife are lovely people, and I had the opportunity to speak Italian!!).
