The muse seems to have fully recovered and is her old, merciless self again.
Anybody remember this snippet? http://pigwidgeon37.livejournal.com/107552.html#cutid1 I posted it on 1 May, and then wrote more (almost 9000 words, as a matter of fact) but somehow didn't like it. Hermione's predicament as illustrated in the crapilogue, however, made me think of ways to get her out of said predicament, and then I remembered the fragment and... Well, I dustbinned about 8000 words and rewrote the beginning, and the new version has almost 10 000 words now, and I like it a lot more than the previous one, and... WAAAAAH. It's not as humorous as I originally intended it to be, because I don't seem to be able to detect much humour in Hermione's crapilogue situation, but it's nice. I think.
So please, don't hold it against me if I don't answer all those lovely comments on 'Your Heart's Desire' right away. Dialogues are racing thtough my head, and I have to struggle to keep up.
Since I took today and tomorrow off work (before the Muse struck, otherwise I'd give myself up to the friendly gentlemen in the white coats), I don't really have to do anything but write. This one seems to be long-ish, though. So it probably won't be finished by tomorrow night. Then again, who knows...
Bear with me, friends. And if anybody knows an effective Muse repellent, I'd be very grateful for the information.
