Almost weekend
Jun. 27th, 2008 03:18 pmGermany won on Wednesday, which is good.
Spain won yesterday, which is even better, because the goalkeeper is so dishy, and I'll be able to ogle him during the final on Sunday.
Started HP/Discworld crossover and will probably work on it over the weekend. The plot is simple enough, but this project is definitely not about plot. Anyway there is one, and it works or so I hope.
Upon closer examination, I think that Vetinari would get on even better with Severus than with Lucius. Imagine them comparing black clothes! Hermione has to meet the orang utan, because she's likely to get on like a house on fire with librarians of any shape, form or age, especially adventurous and knowledgeable ones.
So far, the groundwork for the plot has been laid, and Hermione introduced.
I wish I was an English native speaker; things would be so much easier. It's a bit frustrating, especially when I'd like to play with language, because it's never quite the same as doing it in German. All the same, I have fun writing, and that's the main point.
Gabriele has gone to Vienna for the weekend (her sister's 40th birthday, big party, and now the sister is sick, in bed, with a high fever), so I'll have to look after her cats. Today, I'm going right after work, but tomorrow and on Sunday they'll have to wait util evening, because it's so very hot, and I don't want to leave my (still) cool flat before sunset.
Maybe I'll go to the public viewing of the final on Sunday, not sure yet. If Doris, Jasmin and Stefan go, I probably will, if only to watch the Ambassador as she avoids speaking to me, which is always fun.
Still no news concerning Vilnius. Grrr. It's not that I'm desperate to leave, I just want to know if I do or don't.
