Du to my own forgetfulness I had to stay 2 hours at the Embassy today. Major grrrrrr. Today is election day, and the Ambassaor had decreed that, in case any of the Austrians living in Ankara wanted to leave their voting cards at the Embassy, the janitor had to be there between 10 and 12. Only the janitor has taken a holiday, and I'd forgotten to tell somebody to replace him, and so it had to be me. Meh. Needless to metion, nobody came. But I worked on the exchange fic for a bit, which I'd let sit for 3 weeks without touching it, in order to get a bit of distance.
The whole of next week has been declared holiday by the Turkish government, so it's going to be a very quiet week at work, since all the Turkish staff will be away, Doris has taken a holiday, and Gabriele is still on sick leave (till 17 October). I'll be very, very bored, but it's the perfect occasion to finalize the exchange fic, so I can send it off to the mods.
There's big trouble with the Ambassador, but I'll write about that tomorrow, because I don't want to spoil my Sunday any further by thinking about it.
