She's looking horrible -- nose and eyes encrusted with snot, and something must be wrong with her mouth/throat/teeth, because she's obviously hungry but unable to eat. And she's pregnant.
Gabriele put a cat carrier outside, with tasty bits, so there's some hope the Van might go in, and then we can just close the carrier and take her to the vet, but it's a very, very slim hope. She's so shy, chances are that she'll simply bolt out of the carrier when somebody approaches.
We put antibiotics into the food, but since she can't eat, that won't be much use either. And with her nose blocked up like that, she's very unlikely even to smell the tasty food waiting for her.
Damn this long, harsh winter, and damn the faux spring six weeks ago, when it got so warm that the cats felt the need to procreate. If she weren't gestating, she might've stood a better chance; after all she's survived severe winters already.
Shit. I hate to see an animal die and not be able to help.
In other, less gloomy news, there's little work to be done today. I've finished most of it and am now more or less free to do as I like. Barring going home of course, which would be what I'd really like. At least I'm not feeling as tired today as I was yesterday.
Stupid me, for not having sent my WIPs to my office mailbox. Well, they aren't really WIPs anymore, being more or less finished, but this time round I've successfully stopped myself from sending off one of them (the HGLM exchange piece. The other one is for
