Too hot, and too cold

On Saturday the temperature reached 40°, so I decided to try my air condition. It worked a treat, and due to the rather cunning placement I didn't have any problems afterwards with back pain etc.
Then the cold front that has caused so much damage in Western Europe reached us on Sunday, and lo, the weather stayed fine, and there was much coolness and rejoicing thereof.

Sometimes I can't help thinking that I'm a bit of an idiot: The last two nights have been *very* cool; I woke up some time in the middle of the night and couldn't go back to sleep anymore. Last night, I finally hit on the solution: I woke up because I was so very, very cold. That's not a big surprise, given that I only have a (wonderfully large but not overly thick) cotton blanket. So I shuddered into the living room atfer having put on pyjamas, and got ze boyz' cuddly blanket to put over the cotton one. And I finally fell back asleep.
My only excuse is that I'm just not used to being cold -- I'm always having trouble with heat, not with cold. So it took me a while to get used to the idea of being too cold...
Not that it's going to be a problem for much longer, since the weatherforecast threatens 44° for Saturday and Sunday.

Only a week now until the movers bring my things. Apart from increased overall comfort, their arrival also means more computer time. Sitting on the floor cross-legged just isn't feasible for more than 15 minutes. I don't like having so litte online time, because it means, among others, that I'm negelecting the f-list, and I won't even mention the HGLM exchange. Lots and lots to catch up with. Reviews to answer. It will be done, though.
