for all the birthday wishes, dear friends!
As birthdays go, it wasn't bad. Irene was the first to congratulate, seeing as we walked to work together, and then there were many phone calls. In the early afternoon, the whole team trooped into my office and sang Happy Birthday, and boss gave me a lovley big bunch of flowers which is now sitting on my desk.
Since there was a rather important meeting scheduled for 2 p.m., celebrations will be held on Friday afternon with all due pomp and lots of wine and rakia.
I played tennis from 6 to 7 and afterwards had lovely dinner at home with Irene.
Yesterday I went to driving school -- yes, I actually DID!!!! -- and paid for my first 36 driving lessons, to start next week. Tomorrow I'll have to go and have my eyes and blood tested (here's hoping they'e using sterile needles, or I'll be out of there faster than lightning).
And now I have to go, because ze boyz need to be fed and have their toilet cleaned.
