It started on Monday evening, and I felt queasy most of Tuesday. Then I went to a reception Tuesday evening -- one of those events where you only get a very small amount of finger food -- and when I got home, I was really hungry.
And I had this craving for tuna and beans.
I still can't think of tuna and beans without feeling an overwhelming urge to vomit.
Didn't sleep a wink because of horrible nausea and really, really bad pain (stomach and tummy), and therefore stayed home on Wednesday. Ingested nothing but half-and-half Coke light and water, and was well enough in the evening to let myself be persuaded by ambassador (he's able to make puppy eyes through the phone) to go to a dinner.
Had a little bit of fish soup (stooooopid!!!) and a bit of grilled chicken with rice. The night wasn't so bad, but when I woke up yesterday morning I could hardly stand upright. Bad pain, and nothing would stay down, not even water or tea.
Slept through most of the morning, and in the afternoon started to get better. Tea stayed down, and so did instant broth.
So I went back to work today, but my legs are feeling like jelly, I haven't had solid food in a long time, and I'm still not hungry which isn't a good sign.

Did I mention that on Wednesday between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. there was construction work going on in the flat above mine? Except for a 1-hour lunch break, they worked all day with sledgehammer and drill. It's hard to find words for the level of desperation and murderous rage I'd reached by about noon, because I wanted and needed to sleep! In the end, I went to sleep on the balcony, because the noise was still very audible there, but at least it didn't feel as if it was in my head.

So here I am at work, very tired, very shaky, drinking weak black tea and feeling generally sorry for myself.
The weight loss is certainly a plus, but on the whole doesn't outweigh the yuckiness.

Horrible though it was, I can't help laughing at the memory of Wednesday morning: after the bad tuna-and-beans night, I went to the kitchen, where the two empty cans were still standing and grinning evilly. One look at those cans, and I could barely make it to the loo.

Feeding ze boyz was an act of pure heroism. I hadn't really noticed yet how strongly their dry food smells of fish oil...

The Telekom guy would've come today to fix my internet, but since the thought of going back home in this heat didn't make me happy at all, I decided to call it off. He'll be coming on Tuesday, so no internet during the weekend.

I still have no idea where this came from -- is it possible to have something like a stomach-cold? Because after Monday's workout my t-shirt was completely soaked through, and I hadn't brought a change. Had to go to the supermarket afterwards, and then home by taxi, and both had a/c, so maybe that was what happened. Or some kind of tummy bug. Whatever it was, I hope it'll be gone soon, because no food means no sports, and that makes me feel bad.
