So it's going to be Spain vs Netherlands
Jul. 8th, 2010 01:16 pm...and, unlike 400 years ago, the Spaniards won't be allowed to set fire to the Dutch. (No comfy chairs or cushions, or similar isntruments of torture, allowed either)
BTW, Spain owes its victory to me. Why? Well, that's easily explained. I wanted them to win, and I wanted to see them scoring one or more goals. 5 minutes into the 2nd half, there was a thunderstorm somewhere round here, and the satellite dish lost its connection. So I didn't get to see the goal, i.e. my noble suffering bought the Spaniards their victory. They left the Germans out to dry, just like the Germans had done with Argentina. That's what I call poetic justice.
Making progress with Babylon5. Unfortunately Commander Sinclair is irrevocably gone now, and I have to look at Bruce Boxleithner, whom I dislike intensely.
Today, after attending a completely unnecessary and probably quite boring press conference, I'll go to the vet. Catless for the moment, because all I have to do for now is to convince him to do something slightly illegal for me: I've been procrastinating ze boyz' vaccination for too long -- still traumatized (me) from the last time I had to put them, esp. Cornelius, into a carrier -- and the rabies vaccination *must* be done within a year from the last one, or otherwise the whole blood sample rigmarole starts again. OK, so I'm going to ask the doctor whether he would agree to pre-date the vaccination, so that the date fits the regulations. Since they're indoor cats, I suppose it won't be a big deal (and every vet worth his or her salt can distinguish between an indoor and an outdoor or part-time-outdoor cat), but I'd still like to discuss the matter before taking ze boyz there.
If he doesn't agree, I'll have to try and strike a dirty deal with my Austrian vet.
Keep your fingers crossed for lawlessness to win! (She always wins, we're in Macedonia, for heaven's sake. If only I knew how to go about offering bribes to people...)
