Summer

...seems to want to compensate for its rather lame start in June. I just made the mistake of looking at the forecast for next week, and OMG it's going to remain that way, i.e. between 35 and 40° every bleeding day. My electricity bill for August is going to be quite impressive, because the a/c has to be switched on from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., sometimes longer. Like yesterday, when it was possible to open windows and doors only at 10 p.m., and even then the temperature outside was still 2 or 3° higher than inside, and that was 25°. And no wind to speak of. Oh well, sooner or later the heat will break. I'd just like it to be sooner...

Learned first elements of Salsa yesterday at dancing lesson. I think I like it a lot, and it made me discover entirely new muscles in the bum area.

Yesterday morning, the time between 8 and 10 was spent sunbathing on the balcony -- and having to get up every 5 minutes, in order to carry Cornelius back inside. That cat is both so stupid and so anxious to stay close to me that he doesn't stay inside like his more intelligent brother but slavishly comes after me and protests loudly when I snatch him up and put him back inside.
When it got too hot to stay outside, I went back inside and watched the first 3 episodes of Ashes to Ashes 3. It's getting better and better, and I'm now being torn between not wanting it to end too soon and wanting to know what happens.
