Me: 1, Angry Lower Back Muscles: 0
Oct. 5th, 2010 06:39 amWent home.
Put Dijon Mustard and Cayenne Pepper on cloth, put on aching spot, wrapped wool scarf tightly around waist and hips, put on warm comfy pants and jumper.
Made huge mug of tea, laced with a splash of whisky and took one stomach protection pill and two painkillers.
Settled down on couch in comfy position and watched HIMYM, had a bit of bread, cheese and almonds.
After the first two episodes I downed a triple rakia, shortly followed by another.
Fell asleep around 7, woke up at 10.
Took off mustard cloth, washed rest off with very hot water, put scarf back around waist.
Another painkiller, more rakia. More cheese, this time with olive-truffle paste (yum!)
Fell asleep around midnight, woke up at 3.45, stumbled into bed and slept till 5.15.
And this morning the back is back to normal with only a slight twinge to remind me that it was, indeed, very angry, and apart from a mild drug hangover I'm feeling great on account of the many hours of sleep I got.
But I'll cancel today's tennis, because the weather is very cool, and I don't want to take any risks. One can't repeat The Cure too often, after all.
