I dreamt I had a tame lion, who got on rather well with ze boyz. He slept in my bed, which was nice. (There also was a tame tiger, who did not sleep in my bed, though)

Alexandra is going to move into the flat next to mine on 1 March. Bestest news evah!

My mother will have surgery on the 24th, in order to mend the hole in the muscle and subcutaneous tissue of her stomach. I'm not overly concerned about the surgery going well, but very worried that she won't observe the doctor's orders for the 6 weeks after the operation. Experience tells me she won't, but then there's always hope.

Valentina, one of my two tennis instructors, is pregnant, this time for real. She shouldn't play right now (probably during the first 3 months), so I'm doubly glad to have Elena.

The Powers That Be in Vienna sent back 2009's log-book of the Embassy car with a few rather toxic comments. I have to complete/correct it till 1 March. Herculean task, and yesterday I was so desperate that I actually ate a slice of chocolate cake. But progress is being made. Progress would be made much more quickly if the then-driver wasn't dead.

Tomorrow I'll get the homeopathic wonderdrug that can apparently achieve a certain stabilization of ze hormonez. It's called "Mönchspfeffer" in German (i.e. Monk's Pepper -- oh, Wikipedia says that that's also the English name. That and "Chasteberry") and, in ye olde times, was believed to reduce libido. What it really does is reduce prolactine levels, which in turn leads to good results in controlling PMS. If it doesn't work -- you have to take it for a few weeks before the effect kicks in -- I'll get a light antidepressant, because I honestly can't cope with PMS anymore, whether it manifests itself physically or mentally.

Daniel the lovely nephew quit his job at the Italian restaurant in Sidney and already got a new one. There might be a slight problem -- he may have to leave the country for a while, unless the authorities make the necessary changes in his residence permit in time, i.e. by the 26th. If he does have to leave, he may just as well use his return ticket to Vienna. So I might get a chance to see him before next year!

That's it, folks. Today I'm going to have a pedicure and get my glasses changed according to the new prescription. (About time!) Plus, I decided not to get contacts for tennis -- decision was made when a bit of sand from the balls got into my eye while practising serves. Ouch. With contacts, hell -- but will get another pair of galsses, frameless, lightweight and with synthetic glass. Advantage #1: instead of only the left eye, both eyes will be seeing better (lenses for less than 1 dioptry not possible). Advantage #2: If I really am unlucky enough to get a ball right into my eye, there might be cuts and bruises, but the lens won't be pummelled right into the cornea. So, glasses it is.

A good day to all of you!
