Boss didn't get another posting and will have to go back to Vienna. Bastards.

New boss is currently working in the International Law dept., and Skopje will be his last posting before he retires. Usually that's better than a first-time ambassador, because people are a bit less ambitious, given that they don't have to work on their career anymore.

Poor, poor boss. Egoistically speaking, I'll have the pleasure of being able to visit him whenever I go to Vienna, but I'd have preferred him to have landed a decent posting.
