Skopje, place of miracles
Mar. 13th, 2012 12:21 pmAnd there I was thinking that losing my fear of dogs was already plenty.
But obviously not.
Miracle #1, small but very welcome: I used to be completely convinced that I hated working out on the cross-trainer. Turns out that I love it.
Miracle #2, enormous and even more welcome: I used to loathe massages. Especially being massaged by women (due to a rather nasty bit of personal history), but also massages in general. Due to my back problems I decided to throw my reservations overboard and call the masseuse my Greek colleague Stelios had recommended. I had my first massage today, and all I can say is: I'm in heaven. She's every bit as good as Stelios said, knows exactly what she's doing, and I even enjoyed it. So from now on it's one massage per week, every Thursday at 9 a.m. (Because, honestly, it doesn't really matter whether I'm at work or not, and besides this counts as physiotherapy, and thirdly, my back hurts during office hours, so why shouldn't the treatment take place during office hours?)
The Critters hugely enjoyed the spectacle, sitting on various vantage points and observing intently.
I'm so relaxed you could spread me on a piece of bread, but also energized, and there's no trace of back pain.
