Busy busy busy
Jul. 17th, 2013 10:58 amThe Ambassador is on holiday.
Gerald is on holiday (yayyyyyy!)
This means I have to do the work of three people.
I also have to fill out forms for the movers (customs etc.).
And feed/cuddle the cats, which is by far the nicest task of all. The red tom's eye isn't inflamed anymore, and the iris is going back to yellow -- no idea if / how much he can see, but at least the infection is gone. And he still likes to cuddle, although I had to put evil stuff into his eye.
Also, I woke up at 3.30 this morning -- irritation levels soaring, needless to mention. Not sure whether, in this context, it's a good or a bad thing that Gerald isn't here. He'd make a handy target...
Speaking of Gerald the Twat: Irene told me -- in the strictest confidence of course -- that not so long ago he asked her whether I had a significant other. She said no, upon which he suggested that I might be nicer if I got laid on a regular basis.
Now this is something I don't appreciate at all.
Firstly, it's patently untrue, because even if I were shagging 24/7, he'd still be the same arsehole.
Secondly, I'm his boss, and even though I'm perfectly aware that he doesn't respect me, saying something like that to your boss's very good friend is a) stupid, and b) somehow more disrespectful than if he'd said the same to someone who doesn't know me, or not very well.
Thirdly, it's grossly sexist -- do men really think that cock is a panacea?
I don't think that I'm going to let it pass, but I'll wait till Irene has left. It'll keep, doubtlessly. Maybe I'll wait till September, i.e. when Temporary Lover comes back to Skopje, have a few great shags and tell him -- Gerald, not the TL -- off then. *snorts*
Why am I feeling as if today was Friday? It's nice while it lasts, but every time I realize that it's Wednesday I'm disappointed.
Lunch with Elena, though, and later tennis with Elena. And no meetings today, unlike yesterday -- I lost *four* hours of my life to utterly useless, terminally boring meetings.
