The latest news in bullet points

...because I'm quite busy right now and just want to remind myself and everybody else that I'm still alive.

- Bestest news of all: Lola gets an EU passport. You can't imagine just how relieved I am.
- So-so news: New Colleague isn't a crook, but an even bigger idiot than I'd imagined. He climbs hitherto-unheard-of heights of stupidity, but at least he's honest.
- Nerve-wrecking news: Yesterday I started NC's accountancy training. I don't think he'll be able to learn the basics before I leave, so I'll have to make whichever payments I can before my departure, and till September, 30, the Embassy will have to survive without.
- Feline news: Lucius and Cornelius are taking over part of my Rambo-parenting duties, and proving to be quite good at it. Hissing distance between Rambo and Lola is slowly decreasing; yesterday they accidentally came nose to nose, and nothing happened.
- Other news: no other news. I'm healthy, surprisingly happy, and don't have time to spare for being sad about leaving, which is a Good Thing.
- I still haven't had time either to respond to the reviews I got for my SSHG promptfest fic, nor to leave any reviews. I'm reading the f-list and occasionally commenting. Life as I know it will probably resume some time in October...
