This is the last day of my much-too-short holiday. Tomorrow doesn't count, as we'll be departing at about 1 p.m. *sighs* Why do pleasant periods end so quickly?
I'm totally out of breath after 1/2 hour of playing with the kittens. The problem is that the beasties love it when I throw them balls, and they race after them, but they don't bring them back. So I have to go and retrieve them, in order to throw them again. I'm sure the two are laughing their tails off about that big, clumsy human...
Finished TSO 27 this morning. Monster chapter with more than 11.000 words, but there was no possibility of cutting it off anywhere. Plus, I can't upload it immediately. Because 'm integrating Umbridge into the plot, and there's lots of dangling threads right now, and I have to see how all this is going to work out. So, I'll have to write at least ch.28, if not 29, before posting anything. I'm not a big fan of re-writes, and so this had better be good before anybody gets to see it.
Aaargh. I hate JKR's description of Umbridge, but there's nothing to be done about that. She is as she is, just as ugly on the outside as she's evil inside. But there's going to be some truly entertaining altercations between her and Lucius. Those two just can't get along.
It's a little less hot today, but more sultry. I wonder when this summer will finally come to an end--the mere thought of two or three days of rain makes me drool. Ah, the scent of moist earth...
