Self-praise before lunch break
Sep. 19th, 2003 12:40 pmBetaed FMKK 9.
Betaed Kaz's chapter.
Re-wrote passages of Orpheus concerning Lucertola.
I suppose that timeline mistake was what made me so reluctant to post the story. Did I already mention that I luuurve my subconscious (strange form of narcissism, I admit).
Anyway, I think this has improved the story. Lucertola is 15, and I've altered parts of what she says and what Draco thinks about her, but not everything (altered Severus and Sirius's letters, too). Now the atmosphere at the Malfoy's house is even stranger: they have this 15 YO daughter, whom they have never sent to school; she's more or less locked up in the house, doesn't have friends, only the parents and tutors. Draco is reluctant to acknowledge she's now a teenager, and she doesn't really know who or what she is, considering that there are no peers she might compare herself to. Yes, I think this definitely has potential, more so than 10 YO sweet Lucy.
Now I'm going to have lunch, and then home. Evening with long-time male (though not gay) friend cancelled, because he had a tooth removed today, which caused much pain to both his head and ego (not to mention the wallet).
