What with Austria being such a catholic country... This weekend is Pentecost, and therefore Monday is a holiday. Three hoorays for three work-free days.
Brussels was exhausting. Because of needing to get up at such an early hour, because of having to follow 8 hours of blabbing in 4 different languages (yes, there are interpreters, but not top quality so it's better to listen for oneself, if one knows the language).
Usually I'm unable to eat anything before noon. But on Wednesday I had breakfast on the airplane, and not just any breakfast. Omelette with mushrooms and spinach, buttered croissant. On normal days, the mere thought would make me gag.
So of course I was unable to see any part of the city except for those I had to pass on the journey from the airport to the Council building. Next time I'll fly the day before the meeting and stay there overnight, even though I'll probably have to pay for the hotel room myself. But I hate having been to a city without really having been there.

The fitness check originally scheduled for 16 April and postponed to 8 May was... well, hihgly pleasant. Not in and of itself, but because of the result. Last time (mid-October, after 3 months of working out regularly) my total score was 28 points. Since the average is 31 points, I was rather disappointed with myself. This time though, I scored 45. And was very, very proud of myself. Powerful piglety pigwidgeon. Yeah, man.
