Not entirely what I'd planned
May. 16th, 2005 08:11 amBecause, yes, I'd planned on having a lazy weekend, but not on sleeping through the whole of Sunday in order to fight off a cold I have absolutely no need for right now. But it seems that I've done it. Will go and have workout today, but a very cautious one. Just to sweat out the last of the virus.
Anyway, I was proved right about a suspicion I've had for quite some time now: During the three days preceding my period, my immunity system is rather weak. I don't catch colds or viruses easily, but during those three days I have to be on my guard. Last October it was a cold, then an inflammation of the urinary tract in November, then another cold in February or so (fought off with lots of medicine and slept off) and now another cold. Seems that I'm getting old. Or I just never noticed the pattern, which is a much more pleasant explanation.
But it's warm again, and the windows are open, and ze boyz are totally enjoying cat TV from behind the wire-instead-of-glass windows. Best present I ever gave anybody, I'm sure.
I was *very* glad indeed that the trip to Islamabad and New Delhi scheduled for July was postponed, even though it was for a sad reason, since the mother of the colleague I'm going with is rather ill, so he doesn't want to go too far away in case something happens. So we'll probably be going in November, and I'll be at home when HP 6 comes out. Talk about priorities.
BTW, yesterday I had a look at ashwinder.sycophanthex and nearly laughed my arse off when I saw their new ratings. What I don't understand is, if 'Lascivious' *means* the same as NC-17, why not use the old rating system? It's difficult enough as it is (I mean e.g. determining whether R or NC-17 is the appropriate rating), so where's the point in further complicating it?
