On holiday, finally
Sep. 10th, 2007 07:25 amOne of the many good things about living in Ankara is that the plane to Vienna leaves at 14.40. Plenty of time to pack, leave the flat in an acceptable state of cleanliness and generally start the holiday in a wonderfully stress-free way.
Not that the cleanliness is very important, because the cleaning woman will come twice while I'm not here, the second time being scheduled for he 18th, since I'll be back on the 19th and like to return to a nice, clean flat. Yes, I'm strange that way, I know.
As always, I hate hate hate leaving ze boyz, although I know Gabriele will take excellent care of them. I wish I could shrink them in a non-traumatic way and take them with me. *sighs* Ah, the advantages of being a witch...
I finally bought a lovely big flat screen TV last week, hence most of the time was spent re-watching things like Batman Begins and LoTR, marvelling at how you see things without scrunching up your eyes and bending forward.
Exchange fic has 4500 words already and shall be continued while I'm away. There probably won't be internet acess though (or, if there is, I just won't bother). I hope everybody will still be here when I return to the delights of LJ.
The day I bought the TV (which, unless memory fails me, was last Wednesday) I also got Janine's birthday present - very, very nice jewellery, if I say so myself. Gold isn't overly expensive here, and they do lovely replicas of Hittite motives, mostly animals, combined with modern designs. Unfortunately my camera is at the office, otherwise I'd have posted a picture. MUST NOT FORGET TO PACK BIRTHDAY PRESENT!!!!
