I secured an appointment at 9 a.m. with my beloved hairdresser here in Vienna about a month ago and woke up early enough to do a short, absolutely meaningless post.

The figaro in Ankara has found a perfect colour for my hair, but I won't let him cut it ever again. He committed the Big Unforgivable Crime in February - although I'd told him (in my baaad Turkish, but I'd asked my teacher if it was correct and he said yes) to leave it all at equal length and just take off 1 cm or so, the bastard cut me a fringe. Now my hair is curly, very irregularly so, i.e. it's total frizz above the forehead and nice curls in the back. With that fringe I looked like - you remember Milos Forman's Amadeus? The reddish wig Mozart wore for conducting Figaro? I looked exactly like that, only it wasn't straight but curly. Oh God.
I think it's grown back sufficiently now for equal length. We'll see...

Last night was wonderful, although Daniel didn't manage to get the day off, because the restaurant he's working at now was fully booked. But Irene came over, and we had dinner (Parma ham! Liver paté! Truffled Camembert!!!), and it was absolutely lovely. Did I mention that Janine and Irene will come to visit me in Ankara, the weekend of my birthday? *big, wide grin*

After the hair project is finished, I'll have to nip over to the pharmacy and to BIPA (Austrian equivalent of Boots), and then we're off to a week of laziness, excellent food, thermal swimming pools, reading, music and writing. If I didn't miss ze boyz so much, it would be absolutely purrfect.
