Observations on nothing much
Oct. 2nd, 2007 02:47 pmAs a rare treat, I'm going to leave work earlier today (about 3.30), because the repairman has announced his return to put up the other 2 lamp shades in my bedroom. They were dirt cheap (wouldn't buy any expensive fixtures for a flat that isn't my own) but look very nice. Basically they're fabric cylinders (held by 3 loops) of something like dark orange crushed velvet studded with colourless glass pearls. Gives the room a bit of a harem feeling, which it certainly wouldn't get if it had to rely on the number of men parading through it. Because in that particular instance ze boyz don't count.
Before the memorable event of the Hanging of the Lamp Shades I'll have to go shopping, because Gabriele is coming to night. She never saw Woddy Allen's Love and Death, so I have to show it to her. Gabriele, me and fun, combined with a few bottles of wine, bodes ill for tomorrow, but if I always tried to be sensible, I might just as well be dead - will be dead tomorrow, but in a nicer way.
Last chance for writing is tomorrow night, because Janine and Irene arrive on Thursday, to join everybody in an orgy of eating and drinking until their departure next Monday. But it shall be good, and there shall be much frolicking and enjoyment.
