(no subject)

Woke up at 4.45. Nose woke up, too, and started itching, then ze boyz did a bit of Greco-Roman westling on my bed, and so I decided to just get up at 5. Given how much I hate being torn from sleep by the alarm, I suppose I shouldn't complain too much...  Anyway, then the muezzin started wailing, and so staying in bed wouldn't have made much sense anyway. (In winter the muezzin isn't a problem, because he does his bit after 5.30, but the earlier the sun rises, the earlier the muezzin sings, which is now about 5 a.m.).

Real estate agent from Skopje sent me a list of apartments yesterday, and a city map, and I whittled the 22 on the list down to 7 -- no city central heating (i.e. only individual or house central), nothing over 120 m², nothing with large terraces (boyz) -- and sent it back, asking for photos. Date for house hunting is now 21  24 May (21 is Corpus Christi i.e. a holiday in Austria), and I'm very optimistic. A 100 m² ground floor apartment with access to yard caught my fancy, as did half a house, i.e. flat on 2 levels. Difficult to say without photos, though.
