Boyz in hot pink
Mar. 31st, 2009 09:48 amThe weight limit for pets in cabin is 8 kg (including the carrier). Since I'll be flying with Austrian Airlines and without any luggage, whether check-in or hand (the things I need for 1 week will be sent beforehand to Vvienna by diplomatic mail and picked up by Janine), I suppose they'll allow a bit more.
Still, Cornelius weighs 6 kg, the fat monster, and Lucius weighs 2.
The bag I have now, which is very pretty and everything, is rather heavy.
So I decided to order another, lighter one, and found the perfect carrier. It's super light, only 1,1 kg, with detachable, machine-washable cushions, and a net dividing the bag into two halves, which you can zip in or not.
They only have it in hot pink.
I hope ze boyz won't mind too much. Maybe if I tell them that it brings out the colour of their eyes in a spectacular fashion, they won't feel too unmanned. (which they are, effectively, but mentioning that isn't really nice)
Spring seems to have come. The sky is blue, the sun is shining, and there's a hint of mellowness in the air. It wasn't too cold yesterday either, so I left my bedroom window open during the night. Lucius promptly slept under the duvet. Cornelius always sleeps on my head and therefore didn't need ulterior protection (besides, his layers of fat ought to protect him quite well).
It's amazing how much better I sleep when the window is open. The throat was slightly sore in the morning, but that's already passed.
As I've managed to break my last pair of sunglasses -- cheap, M&S things -- by carrying them in my handbag without their box, I suppose I'll have to buy new ones today during lunch break. I'm a fervent believer in wearing sunglasses (only when the sun is shining, of course), and now that the weather is actually improving, I need them.
