Just a few photos of Hattusa:

This is a relief of King Supiluliuma in the rock sanctuary. (He was lucky to be a king, because otherwise they'd have teased him to death at school, with a name like that...)

Rock sanctuary, with deities of the underworld marching in single file. Love the hats.

Alacaköyü, about 30 km from Hattusa, sphinx gate of the Great Temple.

Lion Gate in the city wall of Hattusa. People weren't allowed just to use any gate they wanted. The Lion Gate was for Egyptians, and it was the widest gate, because Egyptian chariots, being larger than the Hittite ones, couldn't have passed through any of the other gates.
