Exhausted

First things first: My LMHG gift has been posted, and I love it.  I'll treat myself to a re-read tomorrow, when back in Vienna, and leave a review then. If the author is on the f-list, here's a big THANK YOU! More articulate thanks to follow shortly.

Yesterday's trip was absolutely shitty, not because of any problems with planes or schedules, but because I didn't *want* to go. My shoulder, which is back to hurting abominably -- osteopath available only next week but I got 3 appointments -- did exactly that, and it hurts most when I'm sitting, which is unavoidable when you're on a plane. The nerve seems to be quite irritated, because it intermittently does the old needles-and-pins number.
Plus, I was really disorganized. As always, when I don't want to do something, I did it badly. Why I didn't just take a small suitcase will remain a mystery forever. Instead, I took the notebook in its bag, and another small bag. As hand luggage. Knowing full well that in Istanbul you have to walk for miles (well that's how it feels anyway) from the international to the national terminal. Combined with the shoulder, the weight of the luggage made for a really pleasant trip...

I started packing yesterday and have done another 6 hours today. Hence the exhaustion. 
Bed sheets etc. have to be clean and dry for being packed, so I had to spend the night on the couch (of doom -- I wish I dribbled in my sleep). But it wasn't a bad night. I got enough sleep, mostly because I was so tired yesterday that I went to sleep at 9 p.m. After today's Herculean effort, I guess it's going to be another early night.

And today is one of the days I'm really, really looking forward to a shower. I even brought some old towels from Vienna, which I'll then just leave behind.
