I've always been exceedingly fond of Gabriel Byrne -- OMG sex onna stick!!! -- and have now discovered "In Treatment". Unfortunately only the German-dubbed version, which is unsatisfactory 1) because I don't get to hear Byrne's voice and 2) because it's certainly better in English. But for once the translation seems acceptable (none of those wooden, nobody-ever-talks-like-that dialogues), and I think I'm becoming addicted, because the whole thing is absolute genius and *so bloody good*! I have to go to a dinner tonight and tried to get out of it, so I'd be able to watch tonight's 2 episodes, but to no avail -- the odds weren't so bad, because the number of guests is uneven, which boss thought was bad. So I offered, oh so very graciously, to stay home, but since his wife isn't participating (AGAIN!!! WHY???), I was told that I had to be there. At least the food and, most of all, the wine wil be excellent, which is some kind of consolation.

Yesterday's Macedonian lesson was slightly exhausting, because I had to translate a text from Macedonian into English. From foreign language to foreign language is definitely more difficult. Gymnastics for the brain, really. Following the "healthy mind in a healthy body" principle, I went to the gym after work. During my week of nasal suffering I'd only exercised at home, every day except Thursday when I had a temperature, and so started rather cautiously, never exceeding a heart rate of 130 except for the running bits. Workout went well, though. (Which reminds me that tonight's dinner, besides depriving me of In Treatment, also forces me to exercise at home, because otherwise I wouldn't have enough time to get ready. Double grrrrrrr!)

Appointment with tailor at 12. I'm very, very curious.
