I'm on holiday, after all, and thus entitled to exactly that kind of day.
Had looong breakfast at café with Klaus -- peppermint tea, black tea, 2 slices of dry toast -- then went shopping for things I really need, i.e. the floss and mascara I don't get in Skopje, etc.
Then a short visit to Zara, which resulted in a jeans shirt, a black wrap-around top and a white linen jacket. Sales, is all I can say.
Then lunch (minestrone, pasta with nothing) with Monika, one of my "apprentices" back when I was head of the visa unit in Vienna. She's in Sarajewo now, and what she told me about her ambassador made me appreciate mine even more, if that is humanly possible.
Then more peppermint tea and a small slice of dry cake with Janine and a friend of hers -- he's an architect and one of the nicest blokes I've ever met. The guy ought to be cloned, really.
Then a little more shopping -- taupe-coloured lace skirt (love it!!!!), belt and a scarf.
Then back to Janine's place in total exhaustion.
In the evening, Spain vs. Portugal with Janine and Daniel. Great game. Unlike e.g. the French and the Brits, these guys actually move!
Then 7,5 hours of sleep.
I ought to have gone to the lab this morning, as ordered by the doctor, but of course didn't remember when I staggered out into the kitchen 20 min ago, and prepared myself some tea with a bit of juice in it. Might have been a Freudian slip, because I hate going to the lab. Anyway, what's done is done. I'll have another cup of tea now, and two slices of rusk, and then I'll go running. After 3 days with no sports, I'm beginning to feel a bit antsy, and I really need to move and get all worked-out and sweaty.
My flight leaves at 19.30, so I'll be back home at 22.30, and the reliable Vladko will be waiting for me at the airport and taking me home to ze boyz. Tomorrow is another day off. I shudder to think what my mailbox will be looking like. Rumour has it that boss will be away from 5 to 12 July. And on the 5th, I'll get started again with my driving lessons. * major wibble*
More tea now.
Have a good day, everybody!
ETA: Did whole Ringstraße at a run, stopping only at a few red lights. New personal record. Feel completely healthy again and love it :-))
