Presidential lobotomy (gotta love this)
Nov. 2nd, 2010 11:13 amPresident Ivanov does not regret losing his intelligence
This truly memorable headline refers to a planned draft law re. merging the Security and Counterintelligence Directorate, and the Intelligence Agency, the latter of which has so far been under the President's jurisdiction.
In other news, yesterday was just as good as hoped for/ planned. Tennis was ok, except for my still-shitty serves -- please, whichever higher power deals with tennis, could you please, please help me improve my serves? Then gym, then home for shower, then late lunch at 3 with Stefan. The funny thing is, if I exercise in the late morning/ early afternoon, and even if I don't eat anything before, I don't get hungry until much later. As opposed to the "OMG I'm going to die!!!!" starvation, which almost always hits when I exercise after work. Usually I just lock the door, drop everything and run to the cupboard for a shaking handful of life-saving nuts.
Lazy evening with LotR 3 followed by the hilarious Tropic Thunder -- deeply politically incorrect, but so much fun.
Sleeping pattern screwed to hell, but I don't mind.
Also, I just agreed to give a TV interview in Macedonian (not live). *wibbles* I got the questions beforehand and will have enough time to prepare (incl. preparation together with Dalibor, during Thursday's lesson), but when I consider the idea instead of giving it a mere sideways glance, I'm beginning to think I might be crazy. Then again, if I don't do it now, when am I going to do it? *flails*
This week looks as if it's going to be a good one. There might be drinkies/dinner with Carla tomorrow or on Thursday, I've sorted out Saturday's dinner, so as to have the least possible amount of stress, new friend Stefanie is moving into a building about 150m from mine, the weather ist fine, and I'm going to talk to Janine about the visit to Vienna. Considering her relapse, which was really bad, going there as intended and staying at her place doesn't seem like a good idea anyway. So I might postpone to the 1st week of December (8th is an Austrian holiday) -- not that I'm going to like the idea of a trip to Vienna a lot more in December, but at least I wouldn't have to go now. Plus, I might be able to actually see my brother, if I go in December.
Love to all and sundry!
