Thorough enjoyment of excellent weather
Nov. 15th, 2010 08:20 amShort of climbing the Vodno, I couldn't have done much more yesterday: walked down to tennis courts with Irene (50 min), did a bit of running there (35 min -- amazing, considering that usually the same distance takes 45, but then I didn't have to warm up), and then 2 hrs of tennis.
And I was still able to prepare a very good vegetable gratin when I came home. Me iz cyberwoman.
It seems that I unknowingly committed a gaffe yesterday: the original plan was to play with Valentina and Pinar. During the 30-or-so minutes between running and tennis Pinar's colleague Gözde called me and asked whether I was free for tennis. I said no, but wouldn't she like to join us so we could play doubles. Being the correct person I am, I sent Pinar a text message informing her that Gözde was coming, too, and promptly received an answer informing me that she didn't want to play. Oops. I had no idea Pinar disliked her colleage that much, or rather, I had no idea she disliked her at all. Not feeling overly guilty here, just sorry because I spoiled Pinar's afternoon. *sighs* Life is full of pitfalls...
Latest news concerning Mr H, related in a state of reasonable zen: he's obviously gone to Vienna (out of the country from Friday till tomorrow) to confront the Powers That Be. Considering that he must've known a couple days in advance, and further considering the shit he'll have to face there, I can't really blame him for not responding to my email. Doesn't change much, but makes me feel slightly better. Not re. Carla, though. But I consoled myself by putting on a short black skirt and black high heels today. Even though I'm feeling frustrated, I'll be damned if I look it.
And now I'll try to get my lovely Austrian girls together for an evening out this week. Keep your friends close and wish ten kinds of plague to befall your enemy...
