Lola had her surgery and is recovering just fine. On Friday, when we were having our girls's night at Alexandra's place, she was sleeping it off on the bed; every 30 minutes or so, one of us would tiptoe in and have a look whether she was ok -- a silent Lola *is* something to worry about after all.
The girls' night was good. I made chicken salad with self-made mayonnaise; we started with a very stiff gin-and-tonic, then drained two bottles of wine and concluded with vodka. Got home at 1 a.m., slept till 7. Went to have my hair dyed and cut, then had time for a very light lunch -- mixed salad, bread and orange juice -- before the first tennis lesson from 1 to 2.30. The second one, from 4 to 5, required a bit of self-discipline, because I was really very tired. But I made some rather spectacular curried potato-carrot-red lentil soup when I got home and went to sleep at 10. Slept till 7, i.e. nine hours.
Alexandra will come to have coffee with Irene and me at 9.30, and at 10 Stefanie will drive us all up to Sredno Vodno, from where the mountain shall be conquered. Weather fine but windy. Tennis postponed to 2 p.m. so we didn't have to start at 8.

I never use recipes when I cook but couldn't resist ordering Madhur Jaffrey's "Easy Curry" -- the recipes are wondeful, simple and mouth-watering. There shall be much Indian cooking after I've got all the spices (some will have to be sent from Austria). Yum.

Also, I am now proud owner of a Power Ball. Awesome.

[livejournal.com profile] mundungus42 , I'm so glad you liked The Wall :-)

Off to do household chores and shower, and then Sports!
