Grump, grumgrumpgrump
Jun. 8th, 2011 09:07 amOh, I'm in a bad mood today.
And I was in a bad mood yesterday.
I hate being in a bad mood, but at least I know *why* I'm in a bad mood.
It's the anticipated stress of having to take ze boyz to the vet (hate it, hate it, hate it!!), combined with the narrow timeframe (my fault, because I said yes when Elena asked whether we could start playing today at 4.30 instead of 5), plus boss's "mmh, not sure whether you can have half a day off on Wednesday", which makes me feel insecure on top of stressed, because tomorrow would be the very, very last day for the rabies shot -- you have to do it earlier than the last one, which was 10 June 2010.
Plus, Stefanie's and my running date fell through yesterday due to a misunderstanding, so it was a non-voluntary, no-sports day, and I hate those. Besides the running would have helped with the bad mood...
I don't like myself when I'm whining. Or grumpy.
On the plus side, as soon as I'm done with ze boyz' vet visit (which can take place at 2 p.m. already, as I was just informed, so the time frame is less narrow) and have got them safely home, I know the day will be looking much, much brighter. So it's basically a matter of, say, six hours I have to get through. Piece of cake. I also just told boss that there's no way I'm cancelling today's vet appointment, and he obviously understood. (I get a bit lioness-y when it's about ze boyz, and he might have been the tiniest bit scared...)
Since the side road towards the Embassy is partially blocked due to construction works, he arrived on foot, wondering whether a certain dog was still following him and waiting outside; the dog's obstinacy in running after him is probably due to boss's own dog being in heat.
I expressed my concern re. the dog actually getting to him. Then I said, "But wouldn't that be a great headline? Austrian Ambasador impregnated by stray?"
There's a crack!plot bunny in there somewhere, but I'm going to ignore it.
