Back from holiday
Aug. 13th, 2011 06:53 amand it was nice if uneventful. Lots of sports, lots of great Austrian food and wine -- I didn't put on weight, but it was a close thing. So much to eat, so little discipline...
Finished the HP series and started reading Aatish Taseer's The Temple Goers, which is good but slightly depressing in places.
Bought Kate Atkinson's Started Early, Took My Dog on the airport and finished it last night. After watching the Case Histories DVDs, Jason Isaacs has replaced my former mental image of Jackson Brodie, not that I'm complaining, mind you.
A very, very Happy Birthday to
dickgloucester ! Enjoy being home, enjoy your new house, your family and friends! Here's to your health and your creativity! And if you'd like a birthday drabble, I'd be happy to oblige.
The Critters are obviously happy to have their Mother Goddess back. Lucius, who is usually affectionate but dignified, is being a bit clingy, which is quite adorable. It's a long weekend, though (Monday is a public holiday in Austria), so he can cling to his feline heart's content.
That's all for now. Excellent weekends to everybody!
P.S.: Severus Snape definitely didn't die in DH -- "Snape moved no more" is a dead giveaway, pardon the pun. If she'd written "was no more", ok. But "moved no more"? Honestly.
