It's 7.40, and it's bloody dark. Having lived in this place for a very large part of my life, I suppose I'll get used to it once I'm back, but right now it's a little daunting. Will go running in a few minutes. That ought to cheer me up, or so I hope.

Went to see Skyfall yesterday with Janine, and am still mentally flailing and squeeing. The action scenes, the dry humour, the wildly impossible Bond-survives-it-all scenarios as opposed to the very realistic threat scenarios and depiction of bureaucracy -- love it. And there's a big London Underground crash! I love those and have been sadly deprived since Die Hard III. Also, Ralph Fiennes... Will definitely watch it again in the brand-new cinema in Skopje.

Meeting with architect friend later today for discussion re. renovation/extension of my flat. *bounces*

OK, I'll get dressed now and venture out for a run.

ETA post-run: it did cheer me up, even though I had to stop about ten times at red lights. Oxygen-enriched blood just makes you feel better. That, and the first coffee of the day which I'm sipping now. Lunch at one with brother and older nephew, whose birthday is today. Yayyy! Plus I'm going to call beloved!Boss later, so we can agree when to meet for a cup (or two) of spiced wine.
