Shakes fist at yahoo
Apr. 23rd, 2013 01:50 pmToday I really, really felt like incorporating the myriad corrections I've been making into the first half-or-so of my promptfest fic. It is, of course, my fault that I haven't yet downloaded the latest version from the mail I sent to my yahoo account to the appropriate folder, but I'm still very, very pissed-off at yahoo for being down now of all possible moments.
I'm not afraid of missing the deadline or anything, but I was feeling so creative... Oh well. Let's hope yahoo will soon recover, and that The Muse won't be in a sulk.
In other news, I'm enjoying my holiday.
Yesterday was a little less enjoyable on account of a weather-induced migraine, but it started after I'd had my tennis lesson, and so I was free to take a pill, lie down and sleep it out.
Off to Vienna on Thursday. Janine has organized a dinner on Friday with the usual suspects, plus of course Daniel the Lovely Nephew, plus girlfriend -- yayyy! I'm so curious to meet the girl who managed to capture his heart -- and my brother. I only hope that my brother doesn't succumb to (more or less) temporary insanity and bring his partner. That would be a very bad idea, but I'm reasonably sure he's aware of that.
OK, I'm going to give yahoo another try and, if it doesn't work, I'll have to continue watching Six Feet Under. Yes, there are worse fates, especially on a lovely warm, if slightly overcast, day, with cats snoozing peacefully in various places.
