*cackles wildly*
Jul. 26th, 2013 03:36 pmMy ministry's PR department called today, to ask me whether I'd be willing to feature in a series of interviews with female ministry employees for an Austrian women's weekly called "Madonna". I suppose I ought to feel honoured, but the idea just leads to abovementioned cackling.
I said yes, of course. Now I have to find some nice photos.
Besides, there are worse ways for civil servants to make the papers. At least it's not corruption, or besmirching the Republic's honour...
Plans for the weekend include tennis tomorrow and on Sunday, and -- also on Sunday -- going to the brand-new Aqua Park together with Slavica and Vesna. It opened last Sunday, and the entry costs € 5 -- which is a lot for Macedonia -- so I'm pretty optimistic re. cleanliness. They do have more than one pool, but I'm not sure about the possibilities for actually swimming. (God, how I miss swimming!!!) Anyway, going once won't hurt, and maybe some swimming can be accomplished. Also, I'd like to get a bit of a tan in places other than face, shoulders and part of my legs. Begone, tan lines!
Weekend plans also include watching season 3 of "In Treatment", wich arrived today. I also got season 6 of M.A.S.H. (Alan Alda used to be pretty hot, didn't he?)
Temperatures are steadily climbing towards 40° -- nights still ok, but OMG is it hot!!! In the afternoon between 2 and 5 p.m., the best thing you can do is stay indoors, switch on the a/c and have something cool to drink while reading or watching dvds. Not only because of the heat, but because the ozone levels here are appalling. So that's what I'll be doing (also on Sunday after the Aqua Park outing, because families with toddlers en masse start arriving between 1 and 2 p.m., and then it quickly gets irritating).
I hope you all have enjoyable weekends!
