Here's the self-pimpage for Lumione Marriage Law fic "First, Catch Your Slytherin". On my LJ pigwidgeon37.livejournal.com/2008/12/11/ or on ff.net: www.fanfiction.net/s/4709644/1/FIRST_CATCH_YOUR_SLYTHERIN
Yes, I'm a review whore. Especially when I like a story, and I like this one a lot.

On to all things feline.

Lucius likes beef, and Lucius likes tuna. So why doesn't he like beef with tuna? Are beef and tuna maybe the feline equivalent for, say, spaghetti bolognese and tiramisu? I like both but would object if anybody tried to feed me a mix.

Ze boyz are a bit miffed, because I spent most of last week writing. When I write, the notebook gets transferred to the kitchen table, and suddenly ze boyz remember that they really like sitting on my lap. Typing with Lucius on my lap is rather easy if ergonomically debatable, because he's so very thin, but typing around 6 kg of fat Cornelius is a very strenuous task. So I have to put them on the floor, or on the blanket on the table, after a few minutes, and they don't like it. No sir, not a bit.
But they got to sit on the balcony today, only for about 15 minutes - it's freezing cold here (1 degree above zero, and it's noon), but the sun is warm and they're clever enough to stay on their fuzzy blanket.

I've taken to calling Lucius Mr X-ray (sounds much better in German: Röntgenbild), because he's so thin. He doesn't seem to mind, though. Neither does Cornelius seem particularly adverse to being addressed occasionally as Speckbacher (that's the name of the man who betrayed Andreas Hofer, the famous Tyrolean freedom fighter during the Napoleonic wars, but "Speck" also means lard). Sometimes Lucius is Rippenbiest (impossible to translate, but "Rippen" are ribs and "Biest" is, unsurprisingly, beast -- German-speaking friends will of course recognize it: in "Rumpelstilzchen", one of the brothers' Grimm fairy tales, the young queen and former miller's daughter asks Rumpelstilzchen: "Heißest du vielleicht Rippenbiest oder Hammelwade?" I still remember being 4 years old and utterly fascinated by those names...) Strange nicknames indeed. If one did that to a child, it'd be scarred for life...
