I'd planned to fly to Skopje tomorrow, assuming my air freight would have arrived by then.
But this time the movers fucked up big time. First they sent only one man to Ankara, so I had to do half the packing myself. Then they gave me the wrong information -- my diplomatic passport for Skopje wasn't needed for the customs formalities after all, so I could have given them the required documents much earlier. And now they didn't send off the air freight in time. If I hadn't had a feeling things might go wrong and called them on Tuesday, I would have arrived there tomorrow and found myself without anything. On Tuesday they promised me to send the stuff of tomorrow, so it would be waiting for me in my flat on Monday. I didn't quite trust them and rebooked the flight for Wednesday. Lucky me, because now they told me that the container will go to Skopje only on Monday... I'm really quite pissed-off, also because the bulk of my things will arrive on 28 July, i.e. 4 weeks after I move in.
This means a letter of complaint to the boss, because I'm not willing to take so many glitches quietly.

In other news, my shoulder is getting better. The therapist gave me an amazing tip I want to share: if the muscles in your back are tense and knotted, put a tennis ball between your back and the wall and move so the ball will massage your poor muscles. If you're ready to take the hardcore version you can also do it lying down on the floor. Careful, though, you shouldn't use this method if you have other than muscular problems (like a disc prolapse etc.) And you look like a pig rubbing itself against a tree, but that's a small price to pay for instant pain relief.

Bought shoes for Nordic walking today, because I'm wildly determined to do lots of walking in Skopje, having the hill and forest right in front of my door. Also bought another pair of lovely black shoes with rather high heels (colour me agape at my own audacity): the first pair are black suede peeptoes, and now I got black patent leather shoes with 3-inch heels and wing caps in black. Loverly.

Other than that, I'm happy to report that the sunburn I got last week (forgot linen shirt and didn't have sunscreen) has resulted in itchiness and peeling. First layer of skin now gone, but I suspect there might be a second round of peeling later on, because the next layer of skin was red, too. First sunburn in ages and boy!!! did it hurt.
