No internet
Jun. 10th, 2010 08:11 am...this morning at home, i.e. no Austrian radio. I felt deprived.
Express virus last night, i.e. some time after I'd arrived home from the gym, I suddenly felt horribly sick. Throwing up 5 hrs after lunch is not a pleasant experience. Then I got a fever, rather high, which subsided some time during the night, and this morning everything is ok, apart from a bit of shakiness, which is to be expected after the fever. Stomach ok, tummy ok. Since this is the way my body usually deals with viruses, I'm not overly surprised. If the sickness had arrived earlier I'd have suspected the lunch, but that seems hardly possible.
I'd have liked to stay home today, at least until I felt less shaky, but since I have an important (well, not life-and-death important, but work-wise it is) meeting at 9, that wasn't possible.
Even though I'm feeling ok, I'm not hungry at all -- given that I haven't eaten anything since yesterday's lunch and worked out afterwards, that seems to indicate that the stomach is still a bit put-out. May it sulk in peace, and hopefully it'll be back to normal for today's lunch. I wouldn't like to cancel that, because my Swiss colleague and I are going to clinch the car deal over lunch.
Nothing more to report. Work's not going to be overly taxing today, which is good. No work tomorrow :-)
