Red again, but decidedly faster
Apr. 17th, 2011 08:40 amHeh. This is what I wrote about a year ago, on 23 March 2010: The Ringstraße (5,2 km) still takes me all of 45 min, and I have to walk 50 m twice or three times. Today, only 39 minutes. And I had to wait at a red traffic light, and to make a (admittedly small) detour, because they'd started putting up makeshift fences for the Vienna City Marathon. Red-faced, but happy.
Shopping yesterday was mildly successful -- these are the shoes I bought: http://www.paulgreen-shop.de/damenschuhe/stiefeletten/paul-green-schuhe/1838-587/2622260007 Love them, and they look very good with jeans. Also a pair of very, very nice light trousers (off-white or light beige, not quite sure what to call the colour), and tops.

My mother, whom I saw yesterday, isn't too well. There's nothing wrong organically, and the belly surgery was successful, but the damage done to the spine (by the unsupported belly pulling foward) is irreversible and painful. But she still hasn't got a cleaning woman... Anyway, it was good to see her, and she was happy, too, and everything else is really out of my hands.
Now am going to take a shower and then I'll meet Klaus for a long walk and coffee. In the afternoon I'll do a quick check on my flat (I also have to take the cat carrier and a device-thingy for de-liming my espresso machine). And I'll make asparagus risotto for dinner. Janine is already salivating in expectation of ze yumminess, so I'll have to make an effort.
And tomorrow, back HOME!!! :-) Boyz! Lola! Friends! Tennis! Pilates!
